Uma Founder and CEO, Rita Kakati Shah, has been a dedicated advocate for diversity and equality issues in the workplace. She was awarded the prestigious Excellence in Citizenship and Diversity Award for her outstanding contributions during her 10-year career at Goldman Sachs in London. After transitioning into healthcare and overseeing Business Development for CNS clinical trials, Rita moved to New York, took a career break to raise her children and now helms Uma, a company she formed after her personal journey to transition back to the workforce. The company was named after the Hindu goddess Uma, depicting strength, courage and determination. With presence in New York, London, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Toronto, the community continues to grow.
