Uma Founder and CEO, Rita Kakati Shah, has been a dedicated advocate for diversity and equality issues in the workplace. She was awarded the prestigious Excellence in Citizenship and Diversity Award for her outstanding contributions during her 10-year career at Goldman Sachs in London. After transitioning into healthcare and overseeing Business Development for CNS clinical trials, Rita moved to New York, took a career break to raise her children and now helms Uma, a company she formed after her personal journey to transition back to the workforce. The company was named after the Hindu goddess Uma, depicting strength, courage and determination.
