Please join us at our last ATD Long Island Chapter meeting before our summer hiatus,  Wednesday, June 10, at Bertucci's, Route 110, Melville NY. We will be treated to a delicious dinner, as well as to an invigorating session about Creative Problem Solving.
When asked where the most creative people work within an organization, a typical response will include functions such as product development or marketing, as if these are the only places where creativity can be found.  The truth of the matter is that creativity is found, and required within every function and individual, and in Learning and Development professionals in particular. As we design learning and talent development programs, facilitate and interact with diverse audiences, and motivate teams to reach their highest potential, we are fully engaged in creative problem solving.

In this highly interactive session, we will learn about creative problem solving from two distinctly different perspectives.  First, we will review the process itself and its 4 distinct stages, explore how individual preferences for the various stages of creative problem solving manifest themselves, and affect our ability to successfully implement solutions and collaborate with others. Second, through a case study, we will discuss how to share this creative problem solving process with our training and related program participants to help them reach maximum effectiveness.

Debra Williams is the founder of Collective Energy Consulting, LLC, and an expert trainer and facilitator specializing in creative problem solving tools and techniques.  She lends her expertise to organizations within industries such as healthcare, finance, manufacturing, higher education, and telecommunications in order to help teams and individuals think differently and make better decisions. With a Masters Degree in Educational Theater from New York University, Debra uses what she learned there to fully engage her audience and make learning memorable!

We look forward to seeing you there!
