Topic - "Past, Present and Future of Mobile Learning"

Presenter - Dr. Gary Woodill, Ed.D. , Senior Analyst, Float Mobile Learning will be presenting virtually.

Every new technology has a life cycle, and mobile learning is no exception. In this fast-paced visual presentation, Dr. Gary Woodill shows where and when the idea of mobile learning originated, how it has developed, where it is at today and what is likely to happen in this field over the next 5 to 10 years. Throughout the presentation, Gary will link developments in mobile learning technologies to changing ideas of learning, classrooms, and pedagogy, as well as to the emergence of the nomadic culture we are all now experiencing. This talk will also illustrate Gary’s new methodology for forecasting the near future of new technologies, and show where mobile learning is located on the technology lifecycle curve.
