ATD LI Student SIG Event:

Networking Skills Workshop

With Sarah Tennyson

Monday, November 6th, 2017

“You must build a professional network”.  Have you lost count of the number of times you have heard that advice?  If you feel like you understand why a professional network is important, but you’re not sure how to do it or you’d like to get over the uncomfortable feelings you have about attending networking events, then this workshop is for you.

Come along and get actively involved in this practical and purposeful session where you will learn:

  • ·         How to break the ice and make those initial introductions
  • ·         How to exit the conversation with style
  • ·         How to make those all-important follow up’s
  • ·         How to make the most of the organic networking opportunities

In this session, you will engage in discussion, self-reflection and interactive workshop exercises that will help you increase your skills and confidence to make networking events a more pleasurable experience and a valuable use of your time and energy.

This event is facilitated by Sarah Tennyson, an organizational psychology practitioner, and co-sponsored by PAOP (PhD, Applied Organizational Psychology) and IOPSA (Industrial/Organizational Psychology Student Association) both at ATD LI affiliated student SIG (Special Interest Group)
