Facilitator: Thomas Heinzen, PhD.                 Director, Game-Based Experience Lab,

William Paterson University

Thursday, March 9th, 2017

Whether it's card games, board games, sports or digital games, most people have a pastime they pick up and play for diversion, nourishment or stress relief. And why not? Games are psychologically engaging activities found on fields, in living rooms, on computers and, probably, on the phone in your pocket.

Dr. Thomas Heinzen is a professor of psychology at William Patterson University. He is the Director of the Game-Based Experience lab. The GBE is a group of social scientists who investigate the ways that games, game-like experiences and gamified situations can be used to solve real-world problems.

Dr. Heinzen will be leading an interactive discussion about the use of games in corporate training settings and providing research-based advice about the use of games to develop human capability.  He will provide advice to participants about how they can use electronic games to get the most out of their training interventions and what pitfalls to avoid in the implementation of games.

  Regards,
